Built by the Sambre and Meuse shipyards in Namur, the MS Amalia Rodrigues is 80 meters long and 11.4 meters wide. Its 66 cabins allow the boarding of 132 passengers. Its crew of 26 specialists is French-speaking. Its four decks, carefully decorated, offer comfort worthy of the five anchors (river navigation stars) attributed to this elegant ship.
The MS Amalia Rodrigues sails on the Douro from April to October. With this comfortable ship, the CrosiEurope company offers 6 to 8-day cruises from the Atlantic Ocean to the Spanish border. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Douro Valley combines exceptional landscapes and a land of traditions, particularly wine-growing. The vineyard slopes of the best Portuguese wines gradually give way to the most beautiful canyons in Europe.
During its trip on the Douro, the MS Amalia Rodrigues makes a stopover or allows to go on an excursion to Porto, Villa Real, Coimbra, Ferradosa, Lamego, Aveiro, Regua, Pinao, Vega de Teron (Spain), Barca d'Alva and Senhora da Ribieira. The opportunity for passengers to discover the historical heritage of these cities, but also their craftsmanship, culinary and wine.
