Vessel
Built in 2003, the MS Fernão de Magalhães was completely renovated in 2015. It is 75 meters long and 11.4 wide. Its crew of 25 river navigation and high-end hotel professionals accommodates up to 138 passengers.
Its equipment and the elegance of its decoration have earned it the award of four anchors (river navigation stars).
Adult activities and entertainment
The MS Fernão de Magalhães offers different cruises of 6 to 8 days on the Douro. A valley where nature and the work of men have combined to offer sublime landscapes! The excursions organized at each stopover allow you to discover the heritage and lifestyle of one of the most beautiful regions of Portugal.
On board, the sun deck, with its many deckchairs, stands out as the space for relaxation and contemplation par excellence. Aft of this deck, passengers will find a pleasant swimming pool to cool off on hot summer days.
On a cruise with the MS Fernão de Magalhães, physical activity is not forgotten! Every morning, the gymnastics sessions on the sun deck allow athletes to keep in shape. In the evening, passengers can take advantage of the dance floor in the lounge bar to share a few steps to the rhythm of all the music.
At the reception level, a shop offers souvenirs, postcards and useful articles.
Restaurants, bars and lounges
Located at the front of the main deck, the restaurant offers gastronomy combining French traditions and local specialities. Meals to savor without losing sight of the landscapes that parade behind the large windows of this very elegant room.
At the front of the upper deck, the lounge bar with a panoramic view offers aperitifs, cocktails and soft drinks. The ideal place to relax over a drink or to join to take part in the games evenings or the balls that take place there every evening.
The cabins
The MS Fernão de Magalhães offers 71 cabins spread over three decks. The main deck accommodates 15 double cabins with windows, the middle deck 18 cabins with high-opening windows and the upper deck 38 cabins with large high-opening windows. 4 of these 71 cabins are individual.
All MS Fernão de Magalhães cabins are equipped to the high standards of CroisiEurope. Their guests will find reversible air conditioning, a television, an internal telephone, a safe, 220 V sockets, free Wi-Fi, a bathroom with WC, a hair dryer, shower products and bathroom linen.
Environmental Protection
Very concerned about protecting the landscapes it crosses, CrosiEurope has been engaged for several years in a real environmental protection approach. Water savers, a wastewater treatment system, waste management and synthetic fuel make it possible to limit the environmental impact of ships like the MS Fernão de Magalhães to a minimum.
