Built in 1997, the MS Douve France was completely renovated in 2017. This 2-deck ship is 110 meters long and 10.1 meters wide. Its 55 cabins allow it to accommodate 106 passengers.
The quality of the renovation, which offered much more spacious cabins, and that of the service offered to passengers, earned the MS Douce France the award of five anchors (river navigation stars).
The MS Douce France offers cruises from 2 to 14 days on the Rhine and the Danube via the tributaries and the canals that connect them. From Amsterdam to Budapest, the MS Douce France crosses cities steeped in history and exceptional natural landscapes. Between two stops, the deckchairs on the sun deck welcome passengers for beautiful days of relaxation and contemplation of the shores. Every morning, the on-board instructor offers an invigorating exercise session on this same deck.
When the MS Douce France touches the quay, it is to allow its passengers to reach the most beautiful natural or historical sites in the region. The lounge bar welcomes passengers wishing to share a moment over a coffee or a good drink. It also serves as a setting for game evenings, aperitifs and balls organized by the crew.
On the upper deck, next to the reception, the small shop on board allows you to buy some useful items, souvenirs and postcards.
At the restaurant of the MS Douce France, the pleasure is in the plate as well as behind the large panoramic bay windows which illuminate the room. The chef offers very refined French gastronomy enhanced with wines from the selection of Serge Dubs, voted best sommelier in the world!
The lounge bar is organized around its dance floor. A friendly place that offers a very complete menu of hot drinks, sodas, aperitifs, cocktails, beers and wines. Whether sketching a few dance steps or exchanging impressions over a drink, the lounge bar combines chic and conviviality.
The renovation of the MS Douce France has completely restructured its reception capacity. By going from 79 to 55 cabins, the MS Douce France has reached the best standards of the company. The main deck now accommodates 33 double cabins and two single cabins while the upper deck has 1 suite, 1 PRM cabin, 2 single cabins and 16 double cabins.
All the cabins of the MS Douce France are equipped with reversible air conditioning and offer a television, an internal telephone, a safe, 220 V sockets, free Wi-Fi, a bathroom with WC, a hair dryer. hair, shower products and towels.
CroisiEurope is very active in terms of sustainable development. The French company equips its ships with hull paint without polluting components, engines meeting the strictest European standards, water savers and a waste water treatment system.
In navigation, the sorting of waste is the rule and when it can, the French company uses a synthetic fuel, Gas to Liquid, with reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
