Furthermore, its shore power system allows the ship to connect to port electrical grids, reducing engine use and emissions while docked.
The vessel features multiple technologies aimed at boosting its energy efficiency. It is equipped with smart ventilation and air-conditioning systems that recover energy, along with LED lighting optimized by automated controls. Additionally, its innovative hull design reduces water resistance, enhancing its energy efficiency by 47% compared to the standards set by the International Maritime Organization.
MSC Cruises employs rigorous onboard waste management practices focused on reducing, sorting, and recycling waste. Trash is separated into various categories as it is produced—such as recyclables and organic waste—to optimize treatment. Each ship has an environmental compliance officer responsible for ensuring adherence to international and local standards. Furthermore, the company is actively committed to eliminating single-use plastics across its entire fleet.
Interior cabins range from approximately 108 to 161 sq ft. They are furnished with either a double bed or two twin beds, a wardrobe, a bathroom with a shower, and include a vanity, hairdryer, and air conditioning. Amenities also include an interactive TV, a telephone, a safe, and a minibar.
Ocean-view cabins offer between roughly 129 and 215 sq ft.
