1-The Ship
The Disney Wonder was launched on January 1, 1999, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy. It measures 964 feet in length and 99.7 feet in width, with a gross tonnage of 83,000. Like all Disney Cruise Line ships, its design pays homage to early 20th-century ocean liners.
With 11 decks and 875 staterooms, the ship can accommodate up to 2,400 passengers. Its interior décor, inspired by Art Nouveau, highlights nature and the vibrant colors of Disney’s magical universe. The crew includes 945 highly trained hospitality and maritime professionals.
2-Adult Activities & Entertainment
The Disney Wonder primarily sails the Caribbean. Most of its cruises stop at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island paradise covering 1,000 acres dedicated to leisure. Regular ports of call include Cozumel, San Diego, Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas, Grand Cayman, and New Orleans.
The outer deck features a water play area for kids (AquaLab), two pools, hot tubs, and a 249-foot waterslide (Twist’N’Spout), along with a multi-sport zone (Wide World of Sports Deck). Inside, you'll find a fitness center, spa, five kids and teen clubs, a theater, two show lounges, a Disney-themed art gallery, and numerous shops. Day and night, live entertainment and Disney character meet-and-greets enhance the magic of your voyage.
3-Kids & Teens Entertainment
The Disney Wonder offers a full range of activities and entertainment for children, whether they prefer to be active, creative, or relaxed. All kids' facilities are located on Deck 4, port side (left when facing the front).
Children can head to the Oceaneer Club to play games or make new friends. Located on Deck 4, starboard side (right when facing the front), this play area is open to kids aged 3 and up. It features various toys, books, Blu-rays, and computers. New activities are offered daily.
At the Oceaneer Lab—also known as the youth club—kids aged 3 and up can enjoy hands-on activities and computer games. It's also located on Deck 4, starboard side. The Lab is generally open from 9 a.m. to noon but may stay open later if demand allows.
4-Dining, Bars & Lounges
Disney Wonder guests can choose from eight onboard dining venues, each offering distinct cuisines and atmospheres.
Triton’s serves refined French and American dishes.
Tiana’s Place celebrates Louisiana Creole flavors at dinner, while Palo offers upscale Italian and Mediterranean cuisine.
Animator’s Palate features an exclusive dinner show starring beloved Disney characters.
Pinocchio’s Pizzeria, Pete’s Boiler Bites, and Daisy’s Delites offer quick-service options, while the Cabanas buffet serves up a variety of dishes.
Seven bars and lounges provide a range of settings for relaxing drinks with family or fellow adults.
The Promenade Lounge is perfect for catching live sports, the Crown and Fin Pub offers British pub vibes for adults, and the Cadillac Lounge transforms into a cabaret at night. The Preludes Bar is great for pre- or post-theater drinks, Cove Café offers fine spirits and coffee for adults looking to read or relax, and Eye Scream serves poolside ice cream treats.
5-Staterooms
The Disney Wonder features 877 staterooms, including 625 oceanview and 252 interior cabins. These accommodations are grouped into four categories by size:
- Standard Inside Staterooms: approximately 172 sq. ft.
- Oceanview Staterooms with porthole: approximately 204 sq. ft.
- Oceanview Staterooms with balcony: approximately 258 sq. ft.
- Suites with balcony: from 657 to 1,238 sq. ft.
All staterooms include a bathroom with shower or tub, individual climate control, premium bedding, a flat-screen TV, desk, hairdryer, and 24/7 room service.
6-Environmental Commitment
A pioneer in environmental stewardship, Disney Cruise Line has implemented best practices onboard all its ships, including waste sorting and water conservation. It also founded the Disney Wildlife Conservation Fund to support global wildlife research and ecosystem protection initiatives.
