Launched on January 10, 2012, at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, the Disney Fantasy is 1,115 feet long and 121 feet wide, with a gross tonnage of 129,690. Its design pays homage to the legendary ocean liners of the 1930s.
The ship features 13 passenger decks and can accommodate up to 4,000 guests, served by 1,458 crew members dedicated to luxury hospitality and service.
The Disney Fantasy offers 4- to 15-night cruises from Miami to the Bahamas, Caribbean islands, and Mexico. The highlight of these itineraries is a stop at Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line’s exclusive private island in the Bahamas, designed to offer the ultimate tropical escape.
Optimized for family fun and relaxation, the Disney Fantasy features a range of kids’ clubs and exclusive adult-only areas.
Guests can enjoy pools, jacuzzis, water slides, basketball and tennis courts, a mini-golf course, jogging track, fitness center, spa, library, arcade, movie theaters, Broadway-style shows, onboard boutiques, and a nightclub. The Disney-themed live entertainment delivers magical experiences day and night.
Special programs are offered for kids of all ages, including teens who can enjoy their own space independently or with family.
One of the most popular attractions is the Swabbies Splash Academy, available for children ages 4–12, with water slides, pools, and pirate-themed splash zones. Little ones still in diapers can enjoy a dedicated toddler pool with changing facilities. Infants are cared for in a well-staffed nursery.
Children ages 3–7 can enjoy the Oceaneer Club, where interactive games and creative workshops keep them engaged. Older kids (8–12) head to the Oceaneer Lab on Deck 11, where they can explore animation, robotics, and video design.
Parents can join in during onboard events like the “University of Fun,” which offers over 30 themed learning sessions each morning covering science, literacy, history, math, and art. In the evenings, families can tune in to the Fun Channel for daily children’s activities, including pirate-themed parties with Disney characters around the ship.
The Disney Fantasy offers 11 restaurants, many inspired by Disney films and fairytales. Royal Court features golden palace decor, Animator’s Palate includes interactive screens from Finding Nemo, and Enchanted Garden mirrors the beauty of Versailles. For fine dining, Remy serves French gourmet cuisine. During your cruise, don’t be surprised if a beloved Disney character stops by your table!
There are 9 uniquely themed bars and lounges on board. Ooh La La Bar has a French Louis XVI design, Piazza Bar evokes Italian charm, Bon Voyage serves wines and beers, Meridian Bar offers rum and martini tastings, and D Lounge turns into a family dance floor by night.
The Disney Fantasy offers 21 suites, 880 staterooms with private verandahs, 199 oceanview rooms with portholes, and 150 inside staterooms. Accommodations are categorized by size and type:
All staterooms include a private bathroom with shower or tub, individual climate control, TV, iPod dock, 110V outlets, safe, mini fridge, vanity, hair dryer, and 24/7 room service.
Disney Cruise Line is a pioneer in sustainability at sea. Like all ships in its class, the Disney Fantasy is equipped with a high-performance wastewater treatment plant and reuses generator heat to produce fresh water.
Onboard waste is sorted and recycled. Disney Cruise Line also founded the Disney Conservation Fund to support global efforts in wildlife preservation, ecosystem protection, and scientific research.
