1-The ship

2550 passengers can board this liner, which is 965 feet long and 105 feet wide. It has 16 decks and 1,275 cabins. To look after its guests, the MSC Poesia also boasts an onboard staff of 1,039 professionals.

MSC Cruises has installed a monitoring system on the Poesia to improve energy efficiency. Thanks to this technology, the ship's movements are constantly monitored and analyzed. The crew then receives precise navigation instructions in real time. Every day, this process reduces the ship's CO2 emissions by several dozen tonnes.

 

The company has also equipped its ships with exhaust gas cleaning systems and heat recovery devices. Thanks to all these efforts and investments, MSC Crociere has succeeded in reducing its carbon emissions by 30% between 2008 and 2019.
