Vessel
108 meters long, 16.5 meters wide, and 7 decks, the MS Versterålen is one of the smallest boats in the Hurtigruten fleet. This feature gives it a more charming and intimate appearance for the 490 passengers it can carry.

As soon as you leave the port and between two stopovers, you can position yourself on the Observation Deck to appreciate the most beautiful landscapes of the trip.
Also, during the cruise, you will have the opportunity to attend captivating conferences with the crew members. You will also have testimonies on the work and life on board the Hurtigruten fleet.
You can also participate in practical workshops on nautical knots and navigation with compass and map.

Gastronomy, bars and lounges
On board the MS Versteralen, you have a restaurant, a cafeteria, a panoramic lounge and two other lounges, at the front and at the back of the ship. The cafeteria is open 24 hours a day. As for the main dining room which is located just next door, on deck D, it is an all-you-can-eat buffet. The menus focus on typical dishes from Norway and Scandinavia. The cooks use a maximum of seasonal products, fresh products, bought in the region.
The Fyret lounge & bar is perfect for drinking a hot drink while contemplating the view of the sea.
Accommodation on board MS Versteralen
For this cruise in northern Europe to discover Scandinavia and the fjords, select your accommodation from the inside or outside Polar cabins.
The interior Polar cabins (7 to 12 m²) do not have a sea view. They have a bathroom with shower and WC, and separate or bunk beds.
The outside Polar cabins (7 to 22 m²) are equipped with separate or bunk beds, bathroom with shower and WC.
And to take advantage of the view of the sea, they are equipped with a porthole or a porthole.
Environmental Protection
The Hurtigruten company has created the Hurtigruten Foundation. Its goal is to preserve endangered species, fight against pollution, reduce the environmental footprint and produce positive benefits for local communities in the regions explored by its ships.
