Environment
The Norwegian company Hurtigruten has retrofitted all its ships with shore power. This electrical installation in several ports in Norway and in particular in that of Bergen, makes it possible to considerably reduce NOx and CO2 emissions.
Hurtigruten is aware of the need to preserve the environment. It also acts for the conservation of endangered species, fights against pollution and financially supports local projects in the territories explored by its ships.
It has also eliminated the use of single-use plastic on board its fleet and is doing its utmost to reduce food waste.
