The Norwegian Joy is part of the Breakaway Plus class of the cruise line Norwegian Cruise Line or NCL. Its sister ships are the Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Escape. A modern ship with a casual atmosphere, it was commissioned in 2017 and renovated in 2019.

At 1,093 ft long and 135 ft wide, the Norwegian Joy has 16 passenger decks and can carry 3,804 passengers. They are accompanied by 1,821 crew members for quality service on board.
Between two calls, you can enjoy the main swimming pool on the upper deck, but also work out at the fitness room on deck 17, play mini-golf on deck 19 or run on the running track.
Not forgetting of course the famous go-kart track on two levels overlooking the ocean.
Numerous boutiques await you for great shopping and the Mandara Spa offers more than 50 different treatments.
In the evening, you can choose from the discotheque, the deck 7 casino, Footloose musical shows, magic tricks and other artistic entertainment.
The most attractive activities for children are the Galaxy Pavilion video arcade and the Aquapark on deck 16 with its Ocean Loop slide that protrudes from the ship over the sea.
For 6/36-month-olds, NCL offers a daycare center. Also, clubs are reserved for children aged 3/12 with group games and art initiations. And the 13/17 year olds have a dedicated area with video games, TV screens and a disco.
On board the Joy you have about 15 restaurants, two main dining rooms, an all-you-can-eat buffet and a wide choice of specialty restaurants. La Cucina is an elegant Italian restaurant. Le Bistro offers the best of French cuisine and Cagney's Steakhouse is perfect for grilling.
Among the 18 bars and lounges, the Observation Lounge on deck 15 offers a panoramic view of the ocean. Starbucks is a coffee drinker's delight, and the cozy atmosphere of Maltings Whiskey Bar on Deck 6 is a must-see.
You can choose an inside or outside cabin, equipped with queen-size beds and a balcony if you want to enjoy the view of the sea. Also, it is possible to have a family room.
Passengers needing more space can book a suite with refined decoration, from 248 to 560 sq. ft., depending on the category. The ultimate in luxury is The Haven Deluxe Owner's Suite of 1,453 sq. ft. with a 484 sq. ft. balcony, concierge service, 24-hour butler and private solarium.
The Norwegian Joy is equipped with systems that reduce SOx emissions by up to 99%. Norwegian Cruise Line is also committed to environmental preservation with waste reduction, water conservation and management. Also, NCL is accredited with the international ISO 14 001 standard for environmental management.
