Vancouver is located in the western part of Canada and covers an area of 114 square kilometers. It is uniquely situated in the lower mainland of the province of British Columbia. Bordered on the west by the Strait of Georgia, the city lies north of Burrard Inlet and south of the Fraser River. The city is known for being home to one of the largest urban parks in North America: Stanley Park.
