Antarctica Havn is a bay in northeast Greenland, within the Northeast Greenland National Park. It is surrounded by steep mountains, including the Pictet Range to the west and Mount Karlsbak to the southeast. The bay was first explored in 1899 by the Swedish expedition of Nathorst, who named it after his ship, the Antarctic. Myggbukta, located on the east coast of Greenland in Northeast Greenland National Park, is a notable historical site for cruisers interested in Arctic history. In 1931 it was the scene of Norway's annexation of the area known as Eirik Raude's Land, a sovereignty claim that ended in 1933. Today, although the station is abandoned, visitors can explore the remnants of that era and enjoy the surrounding Arctic landscape. The local wildlife includes musk oxen and various bird species, offering unique viewing opportunities.
